Councilmember Schwartz's Pep Talk

Today, at-Large Councilmember Carol Schwartz paid a visit to Scott Montgomery's third and fourth graders who will be taking the DC-CAS test next Tuesday through May 2. The District of Columbia Comprehensive Assessment System (DC-CAS) is a test taken each April by DCPS students to measure their knowledge and skills in math, reading, science and writing.
Schwartz asked students to talk about and share their own best practices for test taking and being properly prepared with each other. She also advised students to get plenty of rest the night before and to eat a good healthly breakfast before taking the exam.

Principal Melissa Martin introduced her students to the Councilmember and explained the important role Schwartz plays in District government.
