Family Reading Night May 7

Scott Montgomery has announced an upcoming family reading night. DCPS Chancellor Michelle Rhee's office has confirmed that she will attend.The school will be having a book shopping bag for each child who attends, whether they are Scott Montgomery students or not, allowing each child to pick out 3-5 books that are interesting to her or him. There will also be a dinner, with some food provided by Whole Foods, a family games hour and family oriented prizes such as family movie and theatre passes.
The LEAP (before and after care run by the New Community for Children [NCFC]) program will be running a family game program for the event. KIPP:DC students and parents will participate as well.
