April ANC2C Meeting
At next Wednesday's ANC2C April public meeting, Grant Epstein will be seeking ANC support for DC Historic Preservation's conceptual review for 444 M Street NW (pictured at right).
Other items on the agenda include DDOT's Urban Forestry Administration, requesting ANC attention to newly planted trees in the neighborhood, and representatives for the US Army Ten-Miler seeking ANC support for their October 5, 2008 run.
This meeting will be held again at the Kennedy Recreation Center at 1401 7th Street NW. I encourage those wishing to make public announcements to provide printed copies available to the Commission and meeting attendess since time is not always available for public comments or announcements.

mr grant:
I attended the meeting at the MCC Church with an open mind where you gave a 10 minute presentation on your proposal to jam 8 inferior units of housing into a long and narrow lot with a second building separated from the front building by a 17 foot interior yard. my first impression is that the project is unattractive inside and out. the four units in the front >portion will receive very little light. i am not persuaded that your project respects the relationships and continuity of the historic district. i understand you're in this for the money and i'm all for that.
it would >be better to have one building with 4 generously proportioned units big enough for families and an >additional loft unit over the carriage house(garage).

If you would like your email placed in the record or you would like your sentiments regarding this issue known to the Commission, then you should be there to speak to the Commission. Additionally, you should let your ANC Commissioner know of your opinions - after all, 444 M Street NW is in her SMD
